Church and religion in Europe

Religion in Europe has always exerted an influence on art, culture, philosophy and law. However, over the last several decades, religious practice has been on the decline. The Eurobarometer Poll found that, on average, 52% of the citizens of EU member states state that they "believe in God". What are the reasons of that small percentage? How can the cooperation between the clergy and national authorities and between numerous denominations be reached?

How do they use this knowledge and how should this be regulated in European law? Honesty, transparency and confidentiality while providing a professional service can be considered a vital moral issue. In which professions is the ethical code necessary?
